Rezo Gigineishvili born in Tbilisi. In 1991 moved to Moscow. Graduated from the Film Directing Department of the Moscow State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK, workshop of Marlen Khutsiev). He has worked for TV since 1997 and was an assistant director on Fyodor Bondarchuk’s «9th Company» (2005). Made his directorial début with «Zhara» («The Heat», 2006). At the same year, he directed TW mini-series «9 mesyatsev» («9 months», an informal English title). In 2011, «Bez muzhchin» («With no men», in co-authorship with Alisa Khmelnitskaya) was shot and relaesaed. «Love with an Accent» is his second feature film. |
