Andreas Pantzis is a graduate of The Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography of Moscow where he participated in the last direction workshop of Michael Rom. Since 1979 and until 1981 he was manager of the theatrical workshop of the Larnaka Municipal Cultural Center, in Cyprus. From 1989 and for three years he lived in Berlin as a scholar of Academic Exchange Service of West Germany. In 2007 Pantzis was elected president of the Union of Film and Television of Cyprus. As director Pantzis has created many distinguished  documentaries while his film Evagoras` Vow was awarded six times in the Thessaloniki  International Film Festival along with other international film festivals as well.
