Teodor Corban was born in 1957. He studied Acting at the Institute of Drama and Film “I. L. Caragiale”, Bucharest. He is working at the present time at the National Theatre “Vasile Alecsandri” Iasi.

He is an experienced theatre actor. He had his film debut in 2003 in the short A trip to the City directed by Corneliu Porumboiu, a film awarded at the Cannes Film Festival. Important roles followed, in films such as: 4 luni, 3 saptamani si 2 zile/ 4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days (2007) by Cristian Mungiu, California Dreamin'(2007) by Cristian Nemescu, and the TV series Lombarzilor 8/ 8th Lombarzilor’s Street (2006).

For the role of Virgil Jderescu in 12:08 East of Bucharest, he received the prizes: Best Actor (for the three main characters) – Essone (France, 2006), Best Actor (for the three main characters) – Siena Film Festival, (Italy, 2006).
