Lakis Papastathis was born in Volos, Greece in 1946 and studied Film Directing in Athens. His third short film Letters from America won the first award in Thessaloniki Film Festival in 1972. During the years 1970-71 he cooperated with Alexis Damianos as his assistant director for the film Evdokia. From 1968 to 1971 he works as an assistant director in many Greek film productions. In the year 1971, along with Takis Haztopoulos, he founds the production company Cinetic and together they start a common collaboration with the Greek national television. He is director of many documentaries and short films as well as author. |
