Born in Split, Croatia in 1968, Vedran Samanovic, studied Cinematography at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. As a director of photography he filmed a large number of short fiction films, documentaries and experimental films, videoclips and commercial videos, as well as four feature films.
He directed over one hundred video clips, while his experimental films and videos were screened at numerous world festivals and exhibitions. Vedran Samanovic received multiple awards for his work.He was director and one of the founders of the One Take Film Festival - the festival of films shot in one take.
