Isa Qosja was worn in Vuthaj, Montenegro in 1947. Graduated in High School of Dramatic Arts, Acting, in Prishtina, and Film Academy, film and TV direction in Belgrade. Isa Qosja began directing at the ‘80ies theatrical plays, documentaries and short movies. His short Status Quo (1980), was officially selected in Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, 1980. His first feature Proka (1985), was very much awarded at Rencontres Internationales du Film et Jeunesse de Cannes, 1986. His film Rojet e mjegullës (Guards of the fog. 1987), was awarded for best original music at Pula IFF 1987. Isa Qosja’s last movie Kukumi (2005), was awared with the Special Jury Prize, Sarajevo Film Festival, Bosnia-Herzegovina, 2005; at 62 Mostra Internacionale Cinematografica di Venezia with Regione di Veneto Premio, award 2005; at Sofia International Film Festival with NISIMASA Award, 2006; Best film - Albanian Film Festival, Tirana, 2006; Best Director - Albanian Film Festival, Tirana, 2006; Best feature film, drama - Spokane International Film Festival USA, 2006; Grand Prix - Film festival cinema des authores in Morocco, 2007.
