Born in 1967 in Belgrade, Serbia, Goran Volarevic has worked as a Director of Photography since 1995. He studied film and television camera at Belgrade’s Faculty of Dramatic Arts and in 2005 was chosen to attend Anthony Dod Mantle’s Master Class in Berlin, organized by the European Film Academy. At the 2005 Herzeg Novi Film Festival in Montenegro, Volarevic received the Zlatna Mimoza (Golden Mimosa) award for best feature photography for Sivi Kamion Crvene Boje (Red Colored Grey Truck), his first feature film. In 2007, he received the YU FIPRESCI award for best photography for Četvrti čovek (The Fourth Man), which also competed at the International Cinematographers’ Film Festival. Volarević’s work comprises of numerous feature films, documentaries and commercials. |
