Matevz Luzar was born in 1981 inSlovenia. From 2000 to 2003 he studied theology and after thath he studied film direction at AGRFT. His first short film Almost six feet too deep (Prezgodaj dva metra spodaj) attended festivals worldwide and won at 27th Munich International Film Festival of Filmschools (Luggi Waldleitner Preis for best screenplay), Grand prix in Lodz, Poland etc. His graduation film Wolfy (Vučko) was nominated for Honorary Foreign Award at 35th Annual Student Academy Awards® competition and won other international awards in festivals worldwide. He is currently developing his first feature as writer/director. He also works as a screenwriter. Several of his scripts have won awards. |
