Sedat Yilmaz was born in 1972. After attending Middle East Technical University (METU) for a while, Sedat Yilmaz studied Cinema and Television at Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts.
Between 2000-2003 he conducted short film workshops with young moviemakers.
In 2003, he founded his own production company, Karincalar Production. He has shot many commercials, educational films, corporate documentaries and videos.
