Maya Tsoclis was born in Paris. Her father’s career meant that she would spend her childhood in France, Germany and Greece, where she moved permanently.

After studying sociology, she was involved in the fashion industry, working with Yannis Tseklenis and creating her own studio.1997 was the year that saw her collaboration with the television program “Syn kai Plen” (Plus and Minus) and soon she undertook the creation of a travel program, together with director Chronis Pechlivanidis. 

In 1999, the TV program Travelling in Greece for the NET channel of the Greek state television ERT, was launched. Over the years, the program evolved to Travelling with Maya Tsoclis. 

Today, this program is in the 13th year of its continuous presence in the Greek state television, has visited over 40 countries and has received numerous awards, as it is considered to be the most prestigious program concerning travelling, in Greece.
