Klaus Maeck started making punk super-8 films in the early 80s, producing the cult film Decoder, before going on to co-found the independent music publishing company Freibank, whose clients now include numerous popular music composers. After 20 years as Managing Director of Freibank, he co-found with Fatih Akin and Andreas Thiel, Corazón International film production company.
