Alexandra Fuchanska was born in 1974 in Plovdiv. She graduated from the High school for Stage Specialists in Plovdiv and Editing in the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia in 1999. The same year she started as editor at the recently found Miramar Film. She has worked on TV shows, tens of commercials and several documentaries among which Cuba is Music (2009) directed by Ilian Djevelekov. Her versatile talent quickly made her an indispensable member of the company’s team. In addition to editing she often works on the sound design and is assistant director to Ilian Djevelekov. Gradually, she specialized as casting director and since 2004 she casts the actors for most of the commercials produced by Miramar Film. She has created a large database of actors and extras and has discovered new faces and talents.
