Mlena Mihaylove was born in 1978 in Sofia. She graduated from the High School for Ancient Languages and Cultures and in the course of seven years she was a member of the Boncho Urumov’s Children Theatre Troupe at “Sulza i smiah” theatre. She studied at the School of Photography and holds a degree in Public Relations. Milena took many courses in different film professions: screenwriting, cinematography, editing. She is also co-author of several music videos.
In the past 12 year she works as script supervisor in Bulgarian and foreign productions among which Vercingetorix (2001, dir. Jacques Dorfmann), Lady Z (2004, dir. Georgi Dulgerov), Monkeys in Winter (2005, dir. Milena Andonova), Big City (2006, dir. Djamel Bensalah), Trade Routes (2007, dir. James X. Loftus), Waltzes and Tangos from the Village of Whitewater (2007, dir. Ivan Vladimirov), The World is Big and Salvation Lurks Around the Corner (2008, dir. Stephan Komandarev).
In 2009 Milena worked on three films by first time directors – Tilt (dir. Victor Chuchkov), Sneakers (dir. Ivan Vladimirov, Valery Yordanov) and LOVE.NET. |
