Velimir (Bata) Zivojinovic was born in 1933 in Koracica, Serbia (then Kingdom of Yugoslavia). He made his screen debut in 1955 film Pesma sa Kumbare. This was the beginning of an incredibly career in cinema. The zenith of his popularity came with WW2-themed action films in the 1970s.
In 1990 Zivojinovic was elected for the Serbian Parliament, as a member of Socialist Party of Serbia
