Özcan Alper was born in 1975 in a small town of Artvin in the north east of Turkey. In 1992 he started to study Physics at İstanbul University . During university he was interested cultural and politics more than academic studies. In 1996 he passed to Science of History at the same university.At the same time he started to interest cinema and he worked in alternatif cinema groups. After 1999 his professionel career starts and he worked in several films and tv serials as assistant director and production staff. His first short film "Momi(Grandmother)" got several awards .It was the first Hemsin language(A dialect where spoken in the northeast of Turkey) film shooten in the world. Autumn, Alper"s first feature film was supported by Turkish Cultural Ministry. He sometimes writes film critics in "Yeni Film" a well known cinema magazine in Turkey. |
