The music of Anna Stereopoulou could be characterised as a genre, which combines her Greek sea-faring roots, with modern European movements. Apart from her specialisation in the field of Music Composition for Film, she has also taken on the task of organizing and overseeing Audio-Visual /Multi-Media concerts.
Her basic aim being to combine and unify Music with the other arts, such as the Theatre, Cinema, Poetry, Dance and Architecture. She has composed music for Orchestras (Royal Marines Orchestra - Portsmouth, Feminarte) and other Ensembles. Her music has been performed in Greece (Megaron Athens Concert Hall, Symi Festival, Amaroussion Festival, 1st and 2nd Silent Film Festival, etc.) and abroad [Portello River Festival & River Film Festival (Padova, Italy) -at which she has also been collaborating as Music Consultant / Programming, respectively-, Inspirational Arts Festival, Thames Festival (London), Ecoumanical Patriarchate (Constantinople), Sun-Yat-Sen University (Taiwan), Congresso Astrofisico (Università dell"Insumbria) and Centro Culturale di Varese (Italy)].
She has also composed for the Theatre [National Theatre of Northern Greece, Athmonion Theatre, Fournos Theatre (The Baloon), Alma Theatre (The Dance of Death), Metaxourgeio Theatre (The Well of The Saints)], Dance [Royal Academy of Dance (London) and Aenaon Dance-Theatre (Athens)] and the Cinema [Bundes Film Festival (Berlin, Bronze Medal), Synch Festival, BBC «Homegrown Hollywood», London National Film Theatre, "Yakumo Koizumi" Museum (Matsue-Japan)].
Her new album will be published within 2012, after her first collection “Dance With Me” (Music composed for Dance projects – IANOS Bookstores). Current and future projects of Anna Stereopoulou include her “...oneirograph... v.5.spindle” and “electron” projects [Italy – Greece – London], as well as her collaboration with the fine artist Vassiliki Theodorakidi.
