Born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. After graduating from Columbia University film school in New York, he wrote screenplays and directed films which have played at festivals in Locarno, Chicago, New York, Oberhausen, Prague, Linz, Hof etc. 

"Worker"s Marriage" won at Cracow IFF (Grand Prix) and at Melbourne IFF (Audience Prize), "Walking On the Water" at 

Strasbourg EFF (Grand Prix), and "borderline lovers" at Sarajevo FF (Human Rights award) and at Munich IFF (Best documentary) etc. Since 2005 he lives and works in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
