Born in Armenia, Eric Nazarian is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker and screenwriter. A graduate of the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production. Nazarian is the recipient of the prestigious Academy of Motion Picture Art & Sciences® Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting for his original screenplay, Giants. The Blue Hour, Nazarian’s first feature film as writer-director, world premiered at the 55th San Sebastian International Film Festival, going on to win six international awards. The film is composed of four multi-ethnic short stories with minimal dialogue examining the lives of four strangers living near the Los Angeles River. His most recent film, Bolis, is on the international film festival circuit. It tells the story of an Armenian oud musician who returns to Istanbul to find his grandfather’s oud shop and a family heirloom that disappeared during the Armenian Genocide. Nazarian is a fellow of the Fox Writers Intensive inaugural cycle at 20th Century Fox Studios and is working on several film projects including Giants and an international trilogy about globalization. |
