Dragos Stanomir is a professional location sound recordist specializing in film and commercials.

He began his career in 1993 at Castel Film ( the biggest film company in Romania) as sound assistant, while there moved to location sound recording ( in 1995) and then (in 1998), to audio postproduction and technical engineer in Abis Studio ( Castel Film`s post production house).

Beetwen 1998 and 2003 he was working mostly on comercials as location sound recordist and as sound engineer in postproduction for 14 feature films.

Since 2003 he is a freelancer and owner of FIX FILM company, and he had working as sound mixer for 14 feature films ( whith Jean Claude Van-Dame, Steven Seagal, Danny Glover, Steve Zahn – see IMDB )and over 200 comercials.

"I am never satisfied, and these are traits that I believe all good location recordists share. I care about your sound and your money , so I`m not happy when I heard "Can be fix it in post", and I make all my best to “ fix it on the set ” . My knowledge of the post process allows me, in production, to recommend a course of action that will save time ( and money) in post and ensure that all the necessary sounds are on the tape."

His technical background ( electronist engineer) had also benefited many productions.
