He became one of the sacred monsters of Romanian film and one of the most popular Romanian actors.

Along with Choly Rautu and others, founded the Union of Cinematographers of Romania. He collaborated on the show Farm, specializing in rural and agricultural life themes, transmitted on channel TVR 2.

In 1995 , he joined the Party for the country, joining his comrades with whom he had fought and suffered in prison.
