Partner and director of Cattleya since 1999, Marco Chimenz brings with him an intense background dealing with many of the international film and television markets" most significant producers, distributors, buyers and sales companies. For four years as Executive Vice President of Medusa Film and as head of the Medusa/Mediaset U.S. Representative Office based in Los Angeles, he brokered a considerable number of output deals and acquired scores of American and European independently-produced films in all-rights deals for distribution in Italy. He further served as executive producer of two English-language Italian films: Giuseppe Tornatore"s The Legend of 1900 and Franco Zeffirelli"s Tea with Mussolini , latter a Cattleya production for Medusa Film. For Cattleya Marco manages the department concerned with all contracts, from those with its creative partners to those governing co-productions; he handles the company"s relationships with its international partners and is actively involved in the creative and promotional decisions related both to individuals films and to the company"s role in the marketplace. |
