Pat Laffan as a member of the Abbey Theatre Company in the sixties and seventies (of the last century), Pat Laffan performed in many plays, old and new, from the Abbey repertoire. As well as in the old Queens Theatre and the “new” Abbey, the company played in many parts of the world including Britain, Europe, the US and Australia. For most of the seventies Pat was Director of the Peacock Theatre and directed in the Gate Theatre from 1979 to 1982. Notable productions include One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest for Noel Pearson at the Gaiety Theatre and Chekhov’s Three Sisters at the Gate Theatre. |
